Q: ok so theres this kick called the banana kick and i was at a soccer camp for my HS and this guy tried to show us how to do it, but he never finished... can u tell me how to do it?
A: I guess the banana kick is a kick with a lot of swerve, yeh? i dnt know, but if it is, this is how it works: To perform a banana kick, you want to get maximum curve on the ball, you have to kick like this: if u r right footed and wanna curve 2 da left, hit the ball with the inside of the boot low on the right hand side of da ball. curl 2 da right with right foot, outside of the boot, low on the left hand side of da ball. Curl 2 da left with left foot: outside of da boot low on da right hand side of da ball. curl 2 da right with left foot: inside of da boot, low on da left hand side of da ball. this works because of scientific principle known as the magna effect (trust me, i am a sports scientist, i know all this boring technical stuff) i see where some of your answerers think that you want to score direct from a corner kick. that is not easy, when someone does it it is usually by accident. TACTICAL ADVICE: NEVER aim to score direct from a corner in a match, if you take the corner kick just get it in the box and let someone head it in. however, i know you won't want to hear that so if you really want to score like this, take a corner from the left side of the pitch if you are right footed and vice versa, still just aim to pass, but put the pass close to goal and near the goalpost nearest to you, then there is maximum chance that one of your team mates will score (as long as you let them know where you are going to pass the ball to), and if everyone in the box misses it, then there is maximum chance that you will score.
